All newborn sessions take place in a warm, welcoming studio space designed for your baby’s comfort and safety.
Newborn sessions are slow-paced and baby-led. Sessions typically include:
Time for feeding, soothing, and cuddling
Simple, neutral props and wraps
Individual baby portraits and family images if desired
A relaxed experience where there is no rush
Most sessions last between 2–3 hours, allowing plenty of flexibility for your baby’s needs.
For the best availability, newborn photography sessions should be booked during pregnancy, ideally in the second or early third trimester.
Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first 11–24 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and most comfortable being gently posed. My window is a little later than most photographers but I find the most success in this window for the babies as well as the moms since you have recovered a bit.
If your baby has already arrived, feel free to reach out — last-minute availability may still be possible.
How old should my baby be for newborn photos?

Do you photograph parents and siblings?

Do you serve families outside Portsmouth, NH?
